Midwestern Cool

This was the painting used for the poster image at Shavasana Gallery. The story behind it : listening to a jazz quartet from Chicago and other Midwestern cities, playing in the busy Central Market in LA one hot evening in July 2017, I saw a tall, blond woman wearing a full blue and white striped skirt and a fine light blue with red flowers striped shirt, and a lovely little embroidered velvet bag. This painting was my memory of that event.
