Felt and Fabric Applique, Machine Embroidery, 10" H x 12"w. This piece is an example of the kind of "painting" I do with my old sewing machine and scraps of fabric and threads. In 1971 my mother gave me an Eaton's Viking sewing machine and I have made clothes, soft household furnishings and art on it ever since. I love being in a tradition of women artists who use the "domestic" skills to create art.
